Opalescence is a teeth whitening brand from the well known manufacturer Ultradent. When referring to Opalescence teeth whitening, people get generally confused with the different products available with the same name.

The products offered by Opalescence can be divided in three

1. Opalescence “tres white SUPREME”
2. Opalescence customized tooth whitening system
3. Opalescence in-office BOOST

The first teeth whitening method, is the “TresWhite SUPREME”. It is the only product from Opalescence that is available directly at the stores. It is the over the counter version of the one your dentist has. “TresWhite Supreme” introduces a very easy concept. They employ preloaded individual trays that are one time use and disposable. Trays are known to be uncomfortable, but this tray from Opalescence is made of a thin membrane that fits in perfectly and stays in place. One application is 60 minutes, and yes, you will see results after only one application. They also come in 3 flavors : mint, melon or peach

Opalescence customized tooth whitening system work the same way as the “TresWhite Supreme“, but can only be found at your dentist. The dentist would take an impression of the teeth so you get a custom tray. You will see result in just one application, but the whole treatment can take up to 10 days. The advantages of this method is you get a gradual bleaching of your teeth (compared to a laser treatment) and you are supervised by a professional.

The third option offered by Opalescence is their in-office treatment called BOOST. It is their most powerful treatment, and does not require the use of a laser or light. It is a one hour treatment and you will see results after this one-time visit. At home follow up treatments are optional, this is of course a decision you will take with your dentist
