Whitening your teeth : while you tan ?

There are new products on the teeth whitening market that are gaining popularity : teeth whiteners you can use during your tanning sessions ! Combining two very popular cosmetic procedures in one session is brilliant from a marketing point of view and very appealing and practical  for consumers.

The pioneers in these teeth whitening products for indoor tanning salons are Twilight Teeth.  They use a brush on whitening formula combined with a universal rubber mouthpiece. This mouthpiece never touches your teeth, it is designed  to keep your lips open while you are laying in the tanning bed. The teeth need to be exposed to the Ultra violet heat from the lamp to accelerate the release of oxygen into the teeth. Twilight Teeth can also be used outside the tanning bed, ideally as touch ups between treatments.

Twilight Teeth is designed to be used in 10 sessions, from 8 to 30 minutes each. It can be used everyday, but is specifically designed to work very well if you use it every other day, like your salon tanning schedule.

Like any other whitening products, some people may experience teeth sensitivity. This is the most common side effect to teeth whitening and usually resolves by itself. And since the teeth are not submerged in the whitening product like it is with the use of a tray,  tooth sensitivity is significantly reduced

You have to admit, teeth bleaching while tanning is a pretty smart idea. You have already set aside the time for your tanning bed, why not utilize it to do two things at once ?  My best argument would be… no one will ever know ! You won’t have to be walking around at home with a mouthpiece hopping you will be alone for the next 20 minutes.
